At Marie’s it is stacked along the lane and south of the house.

The Araucanas lay lovely aqua, olive green and pale turquoise eggs and are marvellous mothers. Each year we set three or four of the Araucanas and the resulting dozen pullets are our replacement stock. Two years ago something went wrong with the system, a small hatch, too many of the babies were roosters, a larger percentage of old ones reached retirement age, maybe the coyotes got a few.
